Lozino is a Zimbabwe-based agricultural equipment supplier. We began operation in 2012, as a one-man company, supplying only Jacto knapsacks.

We are now a proudly accredited agent for several leading brands, including Jacto, Monotec Monosem, Baldan, Shaktiman, and Altec; we offer a wide range of their products and spares.

Our small team is passionate about providing our customers with the highest quality products, backed by top-notch customer service and technical support. We have workshops, as well as a full backup section for all the brands that we supply.

Lozino spray application trials

Last week, in conjunction with ZTA, Lozino carried out an experiment…. We wanted to trial different methods of spraying application on tobacco plants - something that hasn’t really been done before !!!

We used water sensitive paper placed at different locations of the plants, to compare:
- The jacto AJ401 canon
- The jacto motorised knapsack sprayer with cottontail,
- The Chemigator, and
- The DGI irrigation drone.

We were lucky enough to have Igor visiting us from Brazil (you probably know him as our nozzle and spray specialist from Jacto) and he provided some valuable insight to the results we saw.

The high temperatures and strong winds weren’t ideal conditions, and each piece of equipment had its challenges, but the results were educational all the same.

Our biggest take-away: a farmer needs to be considerate of their environment - adjusting their approach to work best with the elements. Figure out what works for you, be adaptable and tackle it with innovation!
